Wellspect Surity portfolio gains U.S. Medicare reimbursement access

October 7, 2026 8:35 AM

Wellspect HealthCare, a subsidiary of Dentsply Sirona (NASDAQ: XRAY), announced that its Surity urinary management portfolio may be covered by traditional Medicare for eligible beneficiaries when medically necessary, according to a company press release.

The portfolio includes the Surity Urinary Management System and Surity Female and Male External Catheters, which are designed for non-invasive management of urinary incontinence. Reimbursement access is supported through Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System codes A6590 for the external catheters and E2001 for the Urinary Management System.

Chris Schlenk, Group Vice President at Wellspect HealthCare, said, "For eligible beneficiaries with permanent urinary incontinence, newly established Medicare coding may help reduce barriers to care and expand choice in urinary management."

Wellspect launched the Surity Female and Male External Catheters earlier in 2026, followed by the Surity Urinary Management System in the United States on August 18, completing the full portfolio. The company noted that more than 13 million people in the U.S. live with urinary incontinence, citing a StatPearls publication updated in August 2024.

Wellspect is headquartered in Mölndal, Sweden, and operates in more than 40 countries. The company noted that Medicare coverage depends on individual circumstances and that it does not guarantee reimbursement or coverage outcomes.
