UPS hiring 100,000 seasonal workers ahead of 2026 holiday season
UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced plans to hire 100,000 seasonal employees across hundreds of locations nationwide for the 2026 holiday shipping season, according to a company press release.
The company said applicants can receive a job offer in under seven minutes. UPS described the positions as offering competitive pay, flexible shifts, and a path to permanent employment.
UPS is also introducing a new service called Protected Delivery for eligible shipments, which requires recipients to provide a PIN to the driver before a package is released. The company said the service is designed to add security for high-value deliveries during the peak shipping period.
The company expects to deliver more than 4 billion RFID-enabled packages by the end of 2026. UPS uses RFID-powered tracking technology to provide real-time package location data as shipments move through its network.

Additional features for the season include new pickup scheduling alerts, expanded returns options through a partnership with Happy Returns, same-day and large-item delivery through Roadie, and new or upgraded automated facilities in Denver, St. Paul, Syracuse, and Portland.
Matt Guffey, Executive Vice President and Chief U.S. Domestic Officer, said in the release, "We've delivered industry-leading service for eight consecutive peak seasons, earning our customers' trust year after year."
UPS reported 2025 revenue of $88.7 billion and operates in more than 200 countries and territories with approximately 460,000 employees.
