Teladoc Health adds AI tools to Solo hospital care platform
Teladoc Health (NYSE: TDOC) announced two new AI-powered capabilities within its Solo enterprise platform for hospitals and health systems: SoloVitals and SoloScribe.
SoloVitals is a contactless vital sign measurement tool that captures heart rate and respiration rate using a patient's existing camera-equipped device, such as a smartphone or tablet. The technology uses remote photoplethysmography to analyze subtle facial skin color changes and generate measurements during remote consultations.
SoloScribe is an ambient AI documentation tool that generates structured clinical notes within the Solo platform during virtual care visits. It supports both direct-to-patient and telemedicine device-based visits and transfers a templated summary into electronic health record systems. The company said SoloScribe integrates with EHR platforms including Epic and Oracle Health using HL7 and FHIR standards.

Both capabilities are embedded within the Solo platform rather than offered as separate point solutions. Teladoc Health's Solo technology is currently installed in more than 15,000 care locations globally.
"When we embed practical AI directly into clinical workflows through one connected platform, we are helping to provide faster access to patient information, reduce administrative burdens, and enable hospitals to scale innovation without adding new infrastructure," said Danny Sanchez, Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Teladoc Health.
SoloScribe is now generally available. SoloVitals is available to select customers in a private preview, with a full general release expected in December 2026.
