Fair Isaac to cut 15% of workforce, taking $27M charge
Fair Isaac Corporation announced a workforce reduction plan that will eliminate approximately 15% of positions across the company, according to a press release statement.
Management committed to the plan on Oct. 1, 2026, citing organizational restructuring goals including reducing management layers, simplifying its operating structure, optimizing processes and tools, and integrating AI-driven product development. Affected employees began receiving notifications the week of Oct. 5, 2026.
The company, known by its brand FICO and traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: FICO), expects to record aggregate pre-tax charges of approximately $27.0 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The charges consist of employee severance and related costs, substantially all of which are expected to result in future cash expenditures.

The workforce reduction plan is expected to be substantially completed by the end of the third quarter of fiscal 2027.
