bioAffinity Technologies reports 100% sales growth for CyPath Lung test
bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIAF; BIAFW) reported that sales of its CyPath Lung test more than doubled through the third quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to a company statement.
The company delivered more than 1,620 tests through Q3 2026, up from 775 tests through Q3 2025. The number of ordering physicians rose 89% in Q3 2026 compared to Q3 2025, while physicians who had already ordered the test through Q3 2025 increased their usage by 48% year-over-year.
"The 100% increase in third-quarter sales reflects growing utilization of CyPath Lung in pulmonology and oncology practices, lung nodule clinics and community medical centers," said Maria Zannes, President and CEO of bioAffinity Technologies.
Zannes also referenced a distribution agreement with veteran-owned AvMEDICAL, which the company said it expects could broaden access within the government healthcare system, including the Department of Veterans Affairs.

CyPath Lung is a noninvasive test that uses flow cytometry and artificial intelligence to analyze patient sputum samples for indicators of malignancy. It is marketed as a Laboratory Developed Test and is intended to be used alongside imaging, medical history, and other clinical information rather than as a standalone diagnostic tool.
Gordon Downie, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer of bioAffinity Technologies, noted that the growing number of indeterminate pulmonary nodules identified through low-dose CT screening has increased demand for additional clinical decision-support tools.
In a published clinical trial, CyPath Lung demonstrated 92% sensitivity, 87% specificity, 88% accuracy, and a 99% negative predictive value in detecting lung cancer among high-risk patients with small indeterminate lung nodules under 20 millimeters.
