October 6, 2026 8:25 AM

IceCure Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ICCM) has added Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon, as a U.S. clinical site for its ProSense® ChoICE Study, a post-marketing trial evaluating cryoablation as a treatment for low-risk breast cancer.

Legacy Health's participation will be based at Legacy Medical Group–Surgical Oncology at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Nathalie Johnson, M.D., FACS, Senior Medical Director of the Legacy Cancer Institute, will serve as co-primary investigator for the study at the site, alongside co-investigators Marco Aru and Jennifer Garreau.

The ChoICE Study was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a post-market study and is designed to enroll approximately 400 patients across up to 30 clinical sites in the United States. The study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of IceCure's ProSense® system as a minimally invasive alternative to surgery for eligible patients with low-risk breast cancer.

IceCure Chief Executive Officer Eyal Shamir said the addition of Dr. Johnson and the Legacy Good Samaritan site "represents an important milestone for the study."

ProSense® uses liquid-nitrogen-based cryoablation to destroy tumors by freezing. According to IceCure, the device was cleared by the FDA for the local treatment of breast cancer in patients aged 70 and older with biologically low-risk tumors of 1.5 cm or smaller who are treated with adjuvant endocrine therapy, including patients not eligible for surgery.
