Mercury Systems launches RES One rugged edge server for defense use

October 6, 2026 8:05 AM

Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY) introduced RES One, a rugged edge server platform designed for deployment in maritime, airborne, and ground military systems, as well as commercial and industrial edge applications, according to a company statement.

The product is built around a modular architecture using open standards, allowing customers to upgrade CPUs, accelerators, storage, and security modules without full system redesigns. Mercury says the platform targets programs with lifecycles of 20 years or more, where hardware upgrade cycles have historically required lengthy and costly redesigns.

The initial RES One portfolio includes 1U and 2U chassis configurations. The server also incorporates Mercury's RelianceOne edge security platform, which the company says is designed to meet defense and commercial cybersecurity requirements across embedded, containerized, virtual, and standard user environments.

Mercury claims the platform is designed to achieve delivery lead times shorter than the typical 6-to-12-month industry timeline for ruggedized edge compute systems, citing its vertically integrated manufacturing and supply chain.

"By combining open architectures with long-term form fit function stability, we are providing our customers a platform that can meet urgent delivery timelines and be relied upon for decades without lengthy redesign cycles that drain resources and threaten mission readiness," said Ken Hermanny, Mercury's Senior Vice President of Processing Technologies.

Mercury plans to debut RES One at the 2026 AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition, booth 1445, from October 12–14, 2026. Mercury Systems is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts.
