Magnera commissions new blown film line in Dombühl, Germany
Magnera Corporation (NYSE: MAGN) has completed the installation and commissioning of a five-layer blown film production line at its manufacturing facility in Dombühl, Germany, according to a company statement.
Commissioning activities began in August 2026, with commercial production expected to start in October 2026. The line is currently in product verification and qualification.
The new line is designed to produce lightweight and elastic films for personal care and healthcare applications. Its five-layer architecture allows for customization of surface characteristics, bonding performance, tactile properties, and elastic functionality.

Tarun Manroa, Chief Operating Officer of Magnera, said the investment is intended to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and improve responsiveness to market requirements. "The new Dombühl platform enhances our ability to innovate, respond to changing market requirements, and support future growth while reinforcing the long-term competitiveness of the site," Manroa said.
Magnera presented the new production platform at the European nonwovens association EDANA's annual Outlook Conference ahead of the commissioning announcement.
Magnera operates 44 facilities globally and employs more than 8,000 people, serving over 1,000 customers across hygiene, healthcare, apparel, construction, and food and beverage markets.
