Kratos wins $100M+ in space and cyber defense contracts
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) announced multiple contract awards totaling more than $100 million to develop prototype mission applications and cyber capabilities that provide space intelligence data in support of joint military operations.
According to a company statement, the contracts will fund capabilities to collect and process radio frequency (RF) signals, develop intelligence on operational environments, and support the joint targeting cycle. The systems are intended to support electronic warfare and offensive cyber operations, including access capabilities and battle damage assessment.
The work will utilize Kratos' KnownSpace Network, a global RF collection infrastructure consisting of more than 190 sensors positioned at over 20 locations worldwide. The contracts will also draw on KnownSpace Recon+, a field-portable space domain awareness terminal product, along with Kratos' software, signal processing, and cybersecurity capabilities.

Greg Caicedo, Senior Vice President at Kratos, said the company "brings decades of space experience together with proven commercial technology and agile engineering to solve some of today's most complex mission challenges."
Kratos declined to provide additional details, citing security, competitive, and other considerations.
