Tesla stock rises on stronger-than-expected Q3 deliveries
Tesla Inc. shares climbed 5.1% in morning trading Friday after the electric vehicle maker reported third-quarter 2026 deliveries that exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The company delivered 486,532 vehicles in the quarter, surpassing analyst estimates of approximately 461,974 units by around 25,000 vehicles. The figure marked Tesla's second-highest quarterly delivery total on record.
European demand drove much of the outperformance, with EU vehicle registrations increasing by roughly two-thirds through August. Tesla's Model Y became France's best-selling car across all categories for the first time.

The European strength helped counterbalance weaker demand in Tesla's two largest markets, the United States and China.
StoneX maintained a Buy rating on Tesla with a $475 price target, pointing to the company's recently secured $30 billion credit facility as evidence of proactive financial management. Cantor Fitzgerald kept an Overweight rating with a $485 price target.
