Robinhood shares climb on summit momentum and analyst support

October 2, 2026 10:06 AM

Robinhood Markets stock gained 3.6% in morning trading on Friday, supported by continued momentum from its recent HOOD Summit 2026 event and a broader market rally following a weaker jobs report.

At the summit held on September 29, CEO Vlad Tenev announced several new trading products, including AI trading agents for automated strategy development and trade execution, U.S. perpetual crypto futures with up to 10x leverage, 24/7 weekend equities trading, and access to Cboe's binary contracts linked to corporate earnings outcomes.

Goldman Sachs maintained its Buy rating and $145 price target, stating the new products expand Robinhood's position with active traders and could drive market share gains. StoneX kept its Buy rating with a $170 target, while Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley also maintained positive ratings.

BTIG and Keefe Bruyette noted stronger-than-expected early third-quarter operating trends. September crypto trading volumes reached their highest level since February, and event contract volumes rose 17% month-over-month.

The U.S. Treasury selected Robinhood as brokerage and initial trustee for a program that will auto-enroll over 60 million children in investment accounts.
