Ford Motor (NYSE: F) reported third-quarter vehicle sales of 509,764 units, a 6.6% decline compared to the same period a year earlier, according to a company statement.

Excluding the planned phase-out of its Escape and Corsair models, Ford estimated its retail market share rose approximately 0.4 percentage points to 12.1%, with adjusted vehicle volume described as essentially flat against an industry-wide decline of about 1%.

F-Series truck production rose 4.5% in the quarter to 266,777 units, while September F-Series sales increased 2.4% to 67,448. Year-to-date F-Series sales reached 561,508 units through September, which Ford said was more than 140,000 units ahead of the Chevrolet Silverado. Super Duty production of 110,275 units in the quarter, up 4.4%, represented what the company called its best quarterly result in 19 years.

The Maverick Hybrid posted Q3 sales of 27,793 units, a 59.6% increase and a quarterly record, while year-to-date sales of 74,300 also set a record. The Bronco recorded Q3 sales of 38,020 units and year-to-date sales of 114,956, both described as records. Explorer year-to-date sales rose 17.6% to 189,210 units.

Ford's off-road lineup, including Bronco, Raptor, Tremor, and FX4, accounted for 24% of total sales through September, up 3.8 percentage points year over year. Active paid software subscriptions exceeded 1.7 million, a gain of more than 40% year over year.

Ford disclosed that a short-term supplier issue unrelated to aluminum affected F-150 production at the end of September. The company said the financial impact is expected to remain within its full-year 2026 adjusted EBIT guidance range of $10.0 billion to $11.0 billion, which was issued on July 28, 2026.
