Evaxion to present EVX-01 cancer vaccine immune data at SITC 2026

October 2, 2026 9:01 AM

Evaxion A/S (NASDAQ: EVAX) will present new immune data from its phase 2 trial of personalized cancer vaccine EVX-01 at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) 2026 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, scheduled for November 4-8, 2026.

The data will be presented in both an oral and poster session by Mads Lausen, Senior Scientist at Evaxion. The presentations will cover the systemic immunomodulatory effects of EVX-01 combined with pembrolizumab, beyond vaccine-specific T-cell responses, using comprehensive immune profiling.

EVX-01 is a personalized peptide-based cancer vaccine currently being evaluated in combination with Merck & Co.'s anti-PD-1 therapy KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab) in patients with advanced melanoma. Each patient in the trial received a vaccine designed based on their individual biology.

According to the company, two-year data from the phase 2 trial showed an objective response rate of 75%, with 12 out of 16 patients achieving objective clinical responses and four obtaining a complete response. The company also reported that 92% of patients were still responding at the two-year follow-up with no relapses observed.

Complete three-year clinical data from the phase 2 trial is scheduled to be presented separately at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 congress on October 24, 2026. In the third year of the trial, patients received EVX-01 as a standalone therapy without combination anti-PD-1 treatment.

The oral presentation is scheduled for November 6, 2026, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. MT at the Phoenix Convention Center. The poster session will follow on November 7, 2026.
