Ensign Group expands with acquisitions in Washington, Florida, Colorado
The Ensign Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) announced the acquisition of operations across multiple states, including four skilled nursing facilities in Washington, eight facilities in Florida, and seven facilities in Colorado.
The Washington acquisitions include Burien Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 140-bed facility in Burien; Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 140-bed facility in Issaquah; Park Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 115-bed facility in Shoreline; and Park West Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 137-bed facility in Seattle. Each facility is operated by an Ensign-affiliated operator under a long-term triple net lease.
The eight Florida facilities add 713 skilled nursing beds and 66 independent living units, also under long-term triple net leases. Separately, Ensign acquired the real estate and operations of Englewood Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 118-bed facility in Pensacola, Florida, through its real estate subsidiary Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, Inc.

The seven Colorado facilities comprise 760 skilled nursing beds and 47 independent living units, all operated by Ensign-affiliated operators under long-term triple net leases.
Standard Bearer also acquired real estate assets for five facilities that Ensign had previously operated under third-party leases, totaling 755 skilled nursing beds.
According to the company's statement, Ensign's portfolio now consists of 418 healthcare operations, including 50 senior living operations, across 18 states, with Ensign subsidiaries owning 189 real estate assets.
