Nutriband marks five years on Nasdaq as AVERSA IND filing nears
Nutriband Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRB) marked the fifth anniversary of its listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market on October 1, 2026, with CEO Gareth Sheridan publishing a letter to shareholders reviewing milestones since the company's October 1, 2021 uplisting.
The 2021 uplisting was accompanied by an underwritten public offering that raised $6.6 million, with total gross proceeds of approximately $8.7 million including a concurrent offering. The five-year tradeable warrants issued at that time, traded under the symbol NTRBW, expired as scheduled on September 30, 2026, and have been removed from Nasdaq.
Since uplisting, Nutriband's lead product, AVERSA Fentanyl, has progressed from a feasibility concept to a commercially scaled-up product. In January 2022, the company signed a feasibility agreement with Kindeva Drug Delivery, which was later replaced in 2024 with a Commercial Development and Clinical Supply Agreement. In August 2025, the company was granted a Type C meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to receive feedback on its Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls plans.
In June 2025, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Patent No. 12,318,492 covering AVERSA technology. Patent protection currently extends across 46 countries. In September 2026, the USPTO published trademark applications for the commercial brand name of the company's abuse-deterrent fentanyl patch.

Nutriband's Pocono Pharma subsidiary reported record Q3 2024 revenue of $645,796, up 51% year over year, with products available at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS.
Looking ahead, the company stated its priorities include filing a nonprovisional patent application, manufacturing clinical supplies for a Human Abuse Liability study, filing an Investigational New Drug application with the FDA, and initiating clinical studies for AVERSA Fentanyl.
In July 2025, Nutriband was added to the Russell Microcap, Russell Microcap Growth, Russell 3000E, and Russell 3000E Growth indexes. The information in this article is based on a press release issued by Nutriband Inc.
