Workday opens Dubai office, releases UAE AI adoption report
Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced the launch of its operations in the United Arab Emirates, opening a new office in Dubai with dedicated regional operations and expanded local leadership.
To coincide with the launch, the company released a report titled "Beyond Productivity: Measuring the Real Value of AI in the UAE," which examines how organizations are measuring AI's impact. The report found that 90% of employees in the UAE use AI at least weekly, with 58% using it multiple times per week and 18% using it every working day. Employees reported saving an average of 3.6 hours per week through AI use.
The research also found that employees spend an average of 3.4 hours per week clarifying, correcting, or rewriting AI-generated outputs. Among organizations reinvesting AI-driven gains, 33% use efficiencies to handle greater workloads without adding headcount, 32% direct savings toward training and upskilling, and another 32% channel gains into workload management and employee well-being. Only 24% report using AI savings primarily for cost reduction.

Angelique De Vries-Schipperijn, President of EMEA at Workday, and Zakaria Haltout, Group Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, attended the opening event in Dubai.
"The UAE is a key market in Workday's growth strategy, with organisations pursuing transformation against some of the world's most ambitious national agendas," said De Vries-Schipperijn.
Workday states it serves more than 11,500 organizations worldwide, including more than 65% of the Fortune 500.
