Quantum X Labs files U.S. patent for quantum anomaly detection tech

October 1, 2026 9:22 AM

Quantum X Labs Inc. (Nasdaq: QXL) announced the filing of a U.S. patent application for LayerQake, a quantum cybersecurity technology developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Quantum X Labs Ltd., designed to detect and localize rare and anomalous events in high-dimensional data environments.

According to the company, LayerQake applies quantum stratified inference, amplitude amplification, and Bayesian analysis. The patent describes a two-stage process in which an initial coarse stratified preparation identifies a high-value sub-region, followed by a fine stratified preparation that increases resolution without requiring additional qubits.

The patent also covers an application to telemetry data from physical instruments, plants, and sensor networks. In this use case, anomalous items are associated with high residual values, allowing the technology to identify affected channels, subsystems, or operating regimes. The patent describes the potential for initiating technical operations based on detected anomalies, such as flagging a subsystem for inspection, scheduling maintenance, or adjusting control settings.

"We believe the global transition toward quantum computing is creating a new category of security and detection requirements," said Yaki Baranes, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum X Labs. He added that the company has been expanding its focus on the defense sector and technologies addressing requirements across defense, aerospace, homeland security, and critical infrastructure.

Quantum X Labs is an Israel-based company focused on quantum technology, digital advertising, and enterprise artificial intelligence solutions. The company noted there is no assurance the patent application will result in an issued patent or that LayerQake will be successfully commercialized.
