Xpeng to launch G9L SUV at 2026 Paris Motor Show

October 1, 2026 6:15 AM

XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) will hold the global launch of its G9L SUV at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, running October 12 to 18, where the company plans to open European order books and announce pricing for the model.

The G9L will become the fourth Xpeng vehicle produced in Europe. The company said the model combines its intelligent driving technology with a premium SUV platform focused on safety and comfort.

Xpeng will occupy a stand of more than 1,000 square meters in Hall 6, displaying vehicles including the L03, P7+, G6, G9 and X9, alongside humanoid robots and flying car concepts under what it calls a "Physical AI Museum" format.

Xpeng and Tesla will be the only two automakers participating in the show's official Autonomous Lab program. Xpeng will use its L03 SUV coupe to offer public test rides of its NGP intelligent driving system, which the company described as its first large-scale overseas NGP test ride experience.

According to a company statement, Xpeng has delivered more than 60,000 vehicles in Europe and more than 6,000 in France since entering that market two years ago. In the second quarter of 2026, overseas deliveries exceeded 20,000 units for the first time, up 81% year-on-year.

The company's robotics unit completed a funding round of over $900 million in August, which Xpeng described as the largest single-round private raise in China's embodied AI sector. In September, its IRON humanoid robot began rolling off a newly commissioned production line.

The L03 SUV coupe, which debuted in Munich in July 2026, is preparing to begin its first European deliveries. Xpeng also operates a European research and development center in Munich.
