Rocket Lab signs 20-launch Electron deal with Synspective
Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB) has signed a multi-year agreement with Tokyo-based Earth observation company Synspective for 20 Electron rocket launches, according to a press release from the Long Beach, California-based company.
The contract is described as the largest single commercial launch deal for the Electron rocket in Rocket Lab's history. The agreement brings the total number of Electron missions contracted by Synspective to 47, the most of any Rocket Lab launch customer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Rocket Lab will launch 20 StriX synthetic aperture radar satellites to sun-synchronous orbit from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1. Launches are scheduled annually from 2028 through 2031.

Peter Beck, Rocket Lab founder and CEO, said: "Signing twenty launches in a single deal is a massive vote of confidence not just in Electron, but in the launch cadence, mission reliability, and orbital precision that Rocket Lab consistently delivers."
Motoyuki Arai, Synspective founder and CEO, said: "Securing another 20 dedicated launches now gives us long-term certainty for our constellation expansion."
Rocket Lab said the contract is part of a series of multi-launch agreements signed this year, pushing the company's total launch backlog beyond 100 missions.
