DoorDash launches DashOS to unify restaurant customer data

September 30, 2026 9:04 AM

DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) introduced DashOS, a platform that connects restaurant customer interactions across delivery, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty programs and in-store dining into a single system, according to a company statement.

The platform is designed to let restaurants recognize the same customer across multiple ordering channels without requiring a separate technology system. DoorDash said DashOS works alongside existing point-of-sale and middleware systems, with planned integrations for more than 80,000 restaurants beginning in 2027 through partners including Clover from Fiserv, Qu, Checkmate, Chowly, Deliverect, Stream and Urban Piper.

DoorDash cited internal data showing that consumers enrolled in its omnichannel loyalty program order an average of 1.8 times as often and spend about 1.75 times as much compared to those not enrolled. AI-powered personalized recommendations increased total reservations by more than 15% in a test conducted between July and August 2026. SevenRooms marketing tools, using aggregated DoorDash Marketplace data, helped restaurants generate more than $150 million in sales between January and August 2026. SevenRooms Voice AI generated an average of more than $10,000 in monthly revenue per restaurant in tests conducted during July and August 2026.

DoorDash's 2026 Industry Trends Report, cited in the announcement, found that 40% of U.S. operators surveyed manage four to five separate technology systems, while 83% said better-connected systems would directly improve profitability.

"DashOS changes that. For the first time, restaurants get a direct line to those customers to make every interaction more relevant," said Parisa Sadrzadeh, VP of Strategy and Operations at DoorDash.

Robert Clarkson, Chief Revenue Officer, SMB and Clover at Fiserv, said the combination of the Clover platform and DoorDash's tools gives restaurants "a more connected ecosystem that helps them operate more efficiently, attract repeat guests and grow."
