US Antimony reports Q3 deliveries under $245M defense contract
United States Antimony Corporation (NYSE: UAMY) provided an update on its third-quarter deliveries of Military Specification antimony ingots to the Defense Logistics Agency under a $245 million sole-source supply contract, according to a company press release.
The company said antimony flake feedstock from its joint partner's Bolivian Hydrometallurgical facility has been delivered to its Thompson Falls, Montana smelter during the third quarter. The company described the feedstock, at approximately 99% purity, as capable of improving the efficiency of its gas-fired furnaces.
Chairman and CEO Gary C. Evans said the company has begun processing antimony material mined from Stibnite Hill, Montana, which now totals more than 400,000 pounds and is stockpiled in Radersburg, Montana. Evans stated the new material is expected to improve finished product margins.

"This is the first period in our company's nearly 60 year history that we are fulfilling a significant and extremely important delivery of a finished product so vitally necessary to our military for use in many different products," Evans said.
The company claims to be the sole producer of MIL-SPEC antimony ingots, defined as greater than 99.6% pure, in the Western Hemisphere.
