CytoSorbents Corporation (NASDAQ: CTSO) announced it will present clinical data on its CytoSorb blood purification device at two international medical conferences in Europe in October 2026, according to a company press release.

The first event is the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) Annual Meeting in Barcelona, Spain, running October 7–10, 2026. Four presentations are scheduled, covering topics including the use of hemoadsorption to reduce bleeding in coronary artery bypass grafting, treatment of postoperative vasoplegia, hemoadsorption during VA-ECMO, and outcomes in high-risk heart transplant patients. Presenters include Prof. Michael Schmoeckel of Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Prof. Federico Papallardo of San Raffaele University in Milan, and Prof. Endre Nemeth of Semmelweis University in Budapest.

The second event is the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) Annual Congress in Lisbon, Portugal, from October 10–14, 2026. Prof. Ricard Ferrer of Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona will present four abstracts drawn from the company's COSMOS Registry, covering liver support with hemoadsorption, hemoadsorption during VV-ECMO, postoperative vasoplegia, and sepsis and septic shock treatment.

The COSMOS Registry is described by the company as an international, prospective, multicenter registry designed to capture real-world clinical experience with CytoSorb across critically ill patients.

CytoSorb is approved in the European Union and distributed in more than 70 countries, with over 300,000 devices used to date. The device has not received standard marketing approval in the United States, though it holds FDA Emergency Use Authorization for critically ill COVID-19 patients. CytoSorbents is separately pursuing U.S. FDA and Health Canada approval for its DrugSorb-ATR antithrombotic removal system.
