GoDaddy launches Node.js hosting with API access for AI tools
GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) has launched Node.js Hosting, a web app hosting product that allows developers and AI coding tools to deploy and manage applications through a GoDaddy API, according to a company press release.
The product lets users deploy apps by uploading a zip file or connecting a GitHub repository. GoDaddy then automatically handles framework detection, dependency installation, HTTPS setup, a content delivery network and a web application firewall. Apps also include a managed MySQL database.
The GoDaddy API gives developers and AI coding agents programmatic control over the app lifecycle, including creating apps, uploading source code, publishing, managing environment variables and reading logs. Authentication uses a Personal Access Token, enabling automated deployment without manual sign-in. Each app includes separate preview and publish environments.

"Getting an app working shouldn't mean you now have to learn how to host it," said Bhala Dalvi, CTO of products and AI at GoDaddy. "With GoDaddy Node.js Hosting, we're bringing deployment into that same workflow through our API."
Node.js Hosting is included with existing GoDaddy Web Hosting plans, with no per-request, per-gigabyte or per-build-minute charges. Users can create up to two private preview apps at no cost without a hosting plan or credit card. A paid Web Hosting plan is required to publish an app publicly.
