GoDaddy launches Node.js hosting with API access for developers
GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) has launched Node.js Hosting, a web application hosting service that allows developers and AI coding tools to deploy and manage apps through the GoDaddy API, according to a company press release.
The service lets users upload an app as a zip file or connect a GitHub repository. GoDaddy then automatically handles framework detection, dependency installation, HTTPS setup, a content delivery network, and a web application firewall upon publishing.
Developers and AI coding agents can manage the full app lifecycle through the GoDaddy API using Personal Access Token authentication, without accessing a dashboard. Functions available through the API include creating apps, uploading source code, publishing, managing environment secrets, and reading build and application logs. Each app includes separate preview and production environments.

"Getting an app working shouldn't mean you now have to learn how to host it," said Bhala Dalvi, CTO of products and AI at GoDaddy. "With GoDaddy Node.js Hosting, we're bringing deployment into that same workflow through our API."
Users can create up to two private preview apps at no cost without a credit card or hosting plan. Publishing an app requires a GoDaddy Web Hosting plan. The hosting service is included with existing GoDaddy Web Hosting plans, with no per-request, per-gigabyte, or per-build-minute charges. Published apps also include access to a managed MySQL database.
