Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) announced new premium travel products for Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, including two flagship suite experiences and a new premium economy cabin, according to a company press release dated Sept. 29, 2026.

Alaska Airlines will introduce "Aurora Suites," featuring lie-flat beds with privacy doors, on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet and on at least 25 Boeing 737-10 MAX aircraft on select transcontinental routes. The updated 787-9 will carry approximately 46% premium seating, up from 38%. A new Aurora Lounge of nearly 41,000 square feet will open at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in late 2027, which the company says will be Seattle's largest airport lounge.

Hawaiian Airlines will introduce "Leihōkū Suites" across its fleet of 24 Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, increasing premium seating to approximately 40% of the full cabin, up from 30%. A new 13,000-square-foot Hawaiian Airlines Lounge will open at Honolulu's Terminal 1 in early 2028.

Both suite products include lie-flat seating, privacy doors, 19-inch 4K entertainment screens, Bluetooth connectivity, and complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi for Atmos Rewards members through a partnership with T-Mobile. Chef-driven dining programs are planned for both airlines.

A new cabin class called "Premium Reserve" will be available for purchase next summer and begin rolling out in 2028 across Alaska's 787-9, 787-10 and select 737-10 MAX aircraft, as well as Hawaiian's A330 fleet. The cabin will offer 38 inches of pitch, 16-inch 4K OLED screens, and enhanced recline with leg and calf rests.

"We believe premium is more than a seat," said Alaska Air Group CEO Ben Minicucci. "Aurora for Alaska and Leihōkū for Hawaiian bring that vision to life in ways that feel true to the Alaska and Hawaiian brands our guests love."

A 14,000-square-foot Alaska Lounge is also planned to open in San Diego in 2028. All cabin and lounge upgrades are scheduled to begin rolling out in 2028.
