September 29, 2026 8:03 AM

Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) held its 2026 Investor Day in Seattle, where the company outlined the next phase of its Alaska Accelerate strategic plan, describing a shift from integration to what it calls an "activation" phase following its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines.

The company said it has captured roughly two-thirds of a $1 billion incremental profit target set when the plan launched in December 2024, and remains on track to reach the full amount by 2027. The $1 billion target includes $500 million in merger synergies from the Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines combination.

Alaska Air Group said it has completed three of four major integration milestones: a single loyalty program, a Single Operating Certificate, and a single passenger service system. Joint collective bargaining with represented workgroups is ongoing.

The company announced new cabin products called Aurora and Leihōkū, along with a Premium Reserve cabin tier, new airport lounges, and fleetwide upgrades. It expects premium revenues to exceed 40% of total revenue by 2030, up from 35% currently.

On network expansion, Alaska Air Group said it serves 110 destinations from Seattle and currently operates seven intercontinental routes, with plans to grow to at least 15 intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030. Paris and Athens service is planned for spring 2027.

The company said its Atmos Rewards loyalty program, which combines Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines programs, is expected to generate nearly $4 billion in cash flow annually by 2030. Active membership growth has accelerated from approximately 3% annually between 2019 and 2024 to roughly 13% by 2027.

Alaska Air Group also said cargo revenue has grown approximately 60% since 2024 and set a target of $750 million in cargo revenue by 2030, more than double its current cargo business size.

The company placed what it described as the largest fleet order in its history, targeting growth from more than 400 aircraft to 550 by 2035.

Diversified revenue, defined as revenue outside the main cabin, currently stands at 53% of total revenues, with a target of approaching 60% by 2030.
