Oracle launches two AI tools for financial crime investigations
Oracle Financial Services (NYSE: ORCL) announced two new products aimed at financial crime investigations: Oracle Nexus Case Flow and Oracle Nexus Reach. The announcement was made at the ACAMS The Assembly conference in Las Vegas on Sept. 29, 2026.
Oracle Nexus Case Flow uses agentic AI to help investigators gather evidence, understand entity context, generate recommendations, and develop supporting narratives. The product includes configurable workflows, access-controlled workboards, out-of-the-box templates for different case types, and visibility into related and historical cases. Its output is designed for human review.
Oracle Nexus Reach is a browser-based extension that can work alongside financial institutions' existing applications. It can conduct adverse media scans to identify publicly available information relevant to an investigation and supports AI-assisted tasks such as narrative analysis and creation, as well as autonomous AI reviews and investigations.

Both products are designed to help financial institutions manage growing volumes of alerts and cases. The agents can autonomously pre-investigate cases, identify behavior aligned with known typologies such as human trafficking, and flag findings for investigator review without being prompted.
"Financial crime investigations are bottlenecked less by data availability than by how fast investigators can turn that data into a defensible decision," said Sam Abadir, Research Director, Risk, Financial Crime, and Compliance at IDC. "Case management platforms that make human oversight a structural part of the workflow, not an afterthought, are the ones that will hold up under regulatory scrutiny."
Jason Somrak, global head of financial crime products at Oracle Financial Services, said the tools put "relevant context and AI capabilities into the flow of work," while keeping investigators in control of final decisions.
