TransUnion extends $0.99 VantageScore 4.0 mortgage pricing to 2028
TransUnion (NYSE: TRU) announced it will extend its $0.99 per mortgage origination score pricing for VantageScore 4.0 through December 2028, offering lenders and mortgage resellers multi-year pricing certainty as adoption of the scoring model grows.
VantageScore 4.0 will remain available at $0.99 per score when ordered on a standalone basis, and at no additional cost for mortgage customers who already purchase a FICO score. TransUnion said it will also continue to provide historical data and analytical support at no cost through its TruIQ Data Enrichment platforms.
The announcement follows the Federal Housing Finance Agency's September 2026 expansion of VantageScore 4.0 availability to approved Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lenders. The Federal Housing Administration has also planned to accept mortgage collateral backed by VantageScore 4.0 beginning January 1, 2027.

According to the company, VantageScore 4.0 adoption expanded to more than 1,100 mortgage lenders between January and September 2026, including nine of TransUnion's 15 largest mortgage lender customers.
"By extending our pricing through the end of 2028, TransUnion is offering three years of price stability while supporting greater competition and score choice in the mortgage market," said Satyan Merchant, senior vice president and mortgage business leader at TransUnion.
VantageScore 4.0 incorporates trended credit data along with rental and utility tradelines. TransUnion said the model is being evaluated or implemented by lenders across origination, prequalification and portfolio risk management.
