Accuray and Samsung NeuroLogica sign imaging deal for CyberKnife
Accuray Incorporated (NASDAQ: ARAY) has entered into agreements with Samsung HME America, Inc., doing business as NeuroLogica Corp., to pursue volumetric imaging capabilities for the CyberKnife System, the company announced Sept. 27, 2026.
The announcement was made at the American Society of Radiation Oncology annual meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. The collaboration is intended to combine Samsung NeuroLogica's mobile computed tomography experience with Accuray's robotic radiosurgery and motion management capabilities.
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom has been identified as the first center worldwide to participate in the collaboration, according to the press release.
Professor Nicholas van As, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden, said that volumetric imaging could support more informed treatment decisions and potentially enable adaptation to patient anatomy alongside real-time motion management.

Jonathan Lischalk, MD, Clinical Director of Radiosurgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, said the potential of volumetric imaging alongside robotic radiosurgery extends across thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic malignancies, including lung, pancreatic, and prostate cancers.
Accuray CEO Steve La Neve said the partnership reflects the company's approach of combining internal development with external expertise. "We do not believe every capability must be developed internally," La Neve said.
Boris Geyzer, Head of Business for Mobile CT at Samsung HME America, said the collaboration addresses a practical clinical need for better visualization of anatomy in the treatment room.
The collaboration will proceed through phased development activities. Accuray stated that no commercial product has been announced and that future developments remain subject to ongoing evaluation and applicable regulatory requirements.
