McDonald's (MCD) PT Lowered to $260 at JPMorgan Following Analyst Day
JPMorgan analyst John Ivankoe lowered the price target on McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) to $260.00 (from $280.00) while maintaining an Overweight rating.
The analyst commented, "McDonald’s Analyst Day delivered the 4-year (2027-2030) reinvestment roadmap we had flagged coming out of our August 5 dinner with CEO Chris Kempczinski and CFO Ian Borden, and contained few surprises relative to the "structurally better chicken & beverage destination" thesis. What "McDonald's Next" added was the: ~250 bps of gross restaurant-level efficiency, +1.5 share points each in chicken and beverages by 2030, low-to-mid 50% operating margins vs the 47.5% posted in F25, and an ~$8.5b contribution to franchisees commitment through 2036 (with ~60% by 2030). Development ticks down as expected and largely modeled by us through 2030 but end goal is for improving gross annual restaurant cash flow by ~$100k. MCD is flexing its rare - if not unique - ability as the global franchisor that can drive substantive operating platform, physical asset redesign and technological change at pace, even ahead of previously designated franchisee contracts."
