Verastem data on ovarian cancer drug combo set for IGCS 2026

September 24, 2026 8:31 AM

Verastem Oncology (Nasdaq: VSTM) announced that molecular profiling and tumor biomarker data from its Phase 2 RAMP 201 clinical trial of avutometinib plus defactinib in recurrent low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC) will be presented at the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) 2026 Annual Global Meeting, scheduled for October 1–3, 2026, in Montreal, Canada.

The RAMP 201 biomarker analysis has been selected as a late-breaking oral presentation in the Rapid Orals – Rare Gynecologic Tumors Master Session on October 2, 2026. Susana N. Banerjee of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London is listed as the presenter.

Results from the RAMP 201J study, a Phase 2 trial evaluating the drug combination in Japanese patients with recurrent LGSOC, will also be presented as a seminal oral presentation in the same session. Shogo Shigeta of Tohoku University School of Medicine will present those findings.

A separate poster presentation will cover an external control arm analysis comparing avutometinib and defactinib against conventional care in LGSOC. Rachel Grisham of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York will present that data during Poster Rounds with the Professor on October 2, 2026.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the AVMAPKI FAKZYNJA CO-PACK combination on May 8, 2025, for adult patients with KRAS-mutated recurrent LGSOC who have received prior systemic therapy. That approval was granted under the FDA's accelerated approval pathway, and continued approval may depend on results from a confirmatory trial. Verastem is currently conducting RAMP 301, a Phase 3 confirmatory trial comparing the combination against standard chemotherapy or hormonal therapy in recurrent LGSOC.
