Wall Street sees Muse as Meta’s next big catalyst after Connect event

September 24, 2026 8:16 AM

Investing.com -- Wall Street analysts were largely positive on Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) after its Meta Connect event, where the company made its Muse AI agent the centerpiece of its product and hardware plans.

Evercore ISI kept its Outperform rating and $860 price target and said Meta remains its top long idea. "Muse over Metaverse is a good thing for META investors," the analysts wrote. They believe Muse could lead investors to value the stock at 25 to 30 times 2028 earnings, which would take the shares to $1,000 or more.

Evercore added: "Just like GOOGL in 2025, what we are witnessing is a transition from a perceived 'AI Loser' to an 'AI Winner.'" However, the firm noted that the keynote gave no specific updates on Muse adoption or Meta Business Agents.

Raymond James analyst Josh Beck kept a Strong Buy rating and raised his price target to $860, based on 20 times 2028 earnings. Beck said Muse is getting more than 300,000 downloads a day. His base case sees Muse bringing in more than $50 billion in revenue, with annual costs of about $12 billion.

Mizuho analyst Lloyd Walmsley has an Outperform rating and a $750 target. He said Muse Charm, a keychain-like device, is expected before the holidays and could speed up user growth further.

"Meta's AI product has significant momentum," Walmsley wrote. He was more cautious on Meta's new $1,299 VR glasses because of their high price.

Citi kept its Buy rating and $800 target, saying it is more positive on the shares after the event. JPMorgan said Muse could become the most widely used consumer AI app since ChatGPT.
