VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) announced that its Aerospace and Defense division has completed Level 2 certification under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework for its radio test, avionics, synthetic and modular, and Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) product lines.

The CMMC program was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on Defense Industrial Base systems and networks. The certification is mandatory for all entities conducting business with the DoD.

The assessment was conducted by A-LIGN, a third-party CMMC assessor organization that works with more than 6,400 organizations globally.

Doug Russell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Aerospace and Defense at VIAVI, said the company plans to extend the certification to its Inertial Labs product lines, which were acquired by VIAVI in 2025.

According to the press release, the company is headquartered in Chandler, Ariz., and the certification covers product lines within its Aerospace and Defense division, known as VIAVI Solutions LLC.
