Faraday Future's robotics unit sets aside 25% equity for staff
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) announced a long-term equity incentive plan at its robotics subsidiary, FF EAI Robotics Inc., allocating approximately 25% of the subsidiary's capitalization on a fully diluted basis as stock options for core management, key leaders, and key employees.
The plan, designated as the 2026 Equity Incentive Plan, is intended to align the interests of FF EAI Robotics employees with those of Faraday Future and its stockholders. The company noted that equity of FF EAI Robotics is not convertible to equity of FFAI.
"The equity incentive plan is intended to create a long-term incentive and value-sharing mechanism," said YT Jia, Founder and Global CEO of FF. "By linking the core team's long-term interests to the growth of our robotics business and enterprise value, we aim to align the interests of our team, the Company and our stockholders."
Alongside the incentive plan announcement, Faraday Future said its FF EAI Robot World 2.0 is now complete, spanning three robot forms, five series, 11 models, and 24 products. The company claims this represents the most complete range of robot forms and largest number of models among U.S. robotics companies, though this claim has not been independently verified.
At a recent product launch event, FF EAI Robotics introduced nine EAI device configurations across five models, including the FF All-New Futurist, FF Master Mini, FX Aegis Hyper, FX Aegis Mega, and FX Aegis Classic Ultra-W. The company said all nine configurations are available for sale and delivery. Four industry productivity solutions targeting K-12 education, research, security, and inspection were also introduced.
According to a press release, Faraday Future stated that it aims for FF EAI Robotics to be the first robotics company to implement a partnership model through long-term equity incentives, though this characterization has not been independently confirmed.
Faraday Future, founded in 2014 and based in California, is listed on the Nasdaq exchange.
