Dolby Laboratories (NYSE: DLB) and Meta (NASDAQ: META) announced an expansion of Dolby audio and video technologies across Meta's devices and platforms, including Meta AI glasses and Instagram.

The announcement was made at Meta Connect. Meta AI glasses will become the first consumer device capable of capturing audio in Dolby Atmos, according to the companies. Users will be able to share Dolby Atmos content directly to Instagram. The expansion follows the introduction of Dolby Vision on Instagram last year.

Meta also announced that its newest VR headset, set to launch next year, will support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for movies, shows, sports, concerts, and other VR content.
