Fortitude Mining ups DCG credit facility to $50M, adds ZEC funding
Fortitude Mining Holdings, Inc. announced an amendment to its existing credit facility with Digital Currency Group, Inc. (DCG), its parent company, increasing the aggregate commitment from $26 million to $50 million.
The amendment gives DCG the option to fund future loans in ZEC, the native cryptocurrency of the Zcash network, rather than cash. Loans funded in ZEC will be denominated and repayable in U.S. dollars, valued at the time of transfer. Fortitude said it expects the remaining approximately $31 million of borrowing capacity to be funded in ZEC, which it plans to sell through market transactions.
The approximately $7 million remaining under the original commitment is expected to be drawn before the end of September 2026 and funded in ZEC, with proceeds intended to cover payments related to previously announced orders for 9,000 Zcash mining machines. Additional funding beyond the upsized commitment may also be provided by DCG in ZEC to support capital requirements through fiscal year 2027.

Fortitude said it intends to use borrowings under the facility for Zcash mining machine purchases, mining facility acquisitions, greenfield construction, and infrastructure expansion. The original credit facility was entered into on June 1, 2026, and permits borrowings for up to 18 months from that date. It is secured by a first-priority lien on certain equipment and, if elected by DCG, real property acquired with loan proceeds.
Fortitude also said it continues to advance a previously announced proposed business combination with HeartSciences Inc. (Nasdaq: HSCS). Upon completion, Fortitude expects to become a publicly traded company under the ticker symbol "TUDE." HeartSciences filed an amended preliminary proxy statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 18, 2026 in connection with the transaction.
Fortitude is currently wholly owned by DCG and operates as a Zcash-focused digital asset mining platform. This information is based on a press release issued by Fortitude Mining Holdings, Inc.
