Lōkahi Therapeutics signs first external client for asset search platform
Lōkahi Therapeutics Inc., a subsidiary of Glucotrack, Inc. (NASDAQ: GCTK), announced that Innovate GBM, a nonprofit organization focused on glioblastoma treatments, has engaged two project teams through Lōkahi's ai² PIPELINE platform on a fee-for-service basis to identify brain tumor therapeutic assets available for licensing and development.
According to the press release, Innovate GBM is the first external organization to access the ai² PIPELINE, which Lōkahi previously operated solely as an internal asset discovery process. The platform operates through a network of 14 university collaborations. Innovate GBM will independently determine whether to pursue any asset identified through the engagement.
"Innovate GBM's engagement is the next step forward for the ai² PIPELINE as it moves the platform from a company-led initiative to a model that outside organizations can put to work," said Erik Emerson, Chief Executive Officer of Glucotrack.

Kush Thukral, Co-Executive Director of Innovate GBM, said the platform offers "a disciplined, capital-efficient way to search systematically for overlooked brain tumor assets" in glioblastoma, which he described as "one of the hardest problems in oncology."
Lōkahi stated that the sponsor-led model could be extended to pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and investment organizations. The company did not disclose financial terms of the Innovate GBM engagement.
