Oracle adds digital asset banking tools with AI and ISO 20022 support

September 23, 2026 4:21 PM

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced an expansion of its Digital Assets Data Nexus platform on Sept. 23, 2026, adding payment execution integrations, configurable wallet and smart contract controls, and AI-enabled transaction oversight aimed at banks handling digital money.

The updated platform is designed to connect existing ISO 20022-based payment operations with digital-asset transaction execution, covering tokenized deposits, stablecoins, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), digital bonds, and real-world assets. Oracle said the capabilities are planned to be available in fiscal year 2027.

New features include prebuilt integration with Oracle Banking Payments for intelligent orchestration across traditional and tokenized money, along with integration support for Swift Ledger. The Swift Ledger connection is designed to allow banks to record interbank payment commitments within their tokenized-deposit environment while retaining control over wallets and settlement options.

The platform embeds compliance controls including KYC/KYB and sanctions screening into transaction workflows before and during execution. It uses Oracle AI Database to bring together ledger history, smart-contract state, and workflow records for reconciliation, audit, and regulatory reporting.

AI-based monitoring features include behavioral and graph analytics, vector-based similarity search, and natural-language queries intended to help identify suspicious activity and transaction anomalies. Banks can use platform APIs to trigger policy-controlled responses such as adjusting risk scores, placing holds, or freezing token activity.

"As tokenized deposits, stablecoins, CBDCs, and other digital forms of money become more widely used in payments, settlement, and liquidity management, banks must support a growing range of assets, networks, and settlement models," said Mark Rakhmilevich, vice president, mission critical data platform technologies, Oracle.

Oracle noted the platform supports multi-ledger provisioning, custodial wallets, composable smart contracts, and both cloud and on-premises deployment. The company is presenting the platform at SIBOS in Miami, Florida, from Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, 2026.
