Smith+Nephew launches EVOS Pelvic Plating System in the US
Smith+Nephew (NYSE: SNN) has launched the EVOS Pelvic Plating System, a product designed for pelvic and acetabular fracture management, according to a company statement. The system is currently available in the United States.
The system includes pre-contoured plate options for the posterior wall, quadrilateral surface, and pubic symphysis, along with locking and non-locking utility plates, a cannulated screw system designed for the pelvis and acetabulum, and specialized instrumentation for fracture reduction and implant placement.
The EVOS Pelvic System is an extension of Smith+Nephew's existing EVOS plating platform. The company describes it as an all-in-one solution where plates and instruments are designed to work together to support plate-assisted reduction across a range of pelvic and acetabular fracture types.

Dr. Reza Firoozabadi, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center and a design surgeon for the system, said the goal was to address "the full spectrum of injuries, from straightforward to the most complex pelvic ring and acetabular fractures, while providing fixation options for patients ranging from young individuals to elderly patients with compromised bone quality."
The system is being previewed at Smith+Nephew's booth at the 2026 Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, running September 23–26. Availability in markets outside the United States may vary.
