Oracle Health announces AI tools for healthcare revenue cycle management
Oracle Health announced new artificial intelligence capabilities for its revenue cycle management portfolio at the Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando on Sept. 23, 2026. The features are planned for general availability in the coming months, according to a company statement.
The AI tools are designed to address common billing and reimbursement challenges faced by healthcare organizations in the US, including claim denials, missing documentation, authorization delays, and payment slowdowns. Oracle Health (NYSE: ORCL) said the capabilities will be embedded across existing revenue cycle workflows spanning scheduling, financial clearance, clinical documentation, charge capture, billing, and payment.
The planned features include:

- Prior authorization: Checks coverage, retrieves documentation requirements, and coordinates payer interactions
- Clinical document quality integrity: Identifies documentation gaps and surfaces coding recommendations
- Charge capture and integrity: Analyzes clinical and reimbursement context within charge review workflows
- Medical coding for professional fees: Surfaces coding recommendations based on clinical documentation
- Appeal management: Automates creation of appeal packets when a denial is contested
"AI gives us an opportunity to prevent revenue cycle problems before they lead to denials and delayed payments," said Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences.
Oracle Health also said it intends to connect reimbursement workflows with enterprise financial operations through Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, including financial reconciliation, revenue accounting, and treasury management. The company noted this is part of its planned product direction and does not constitute a delivery commitment.
