Accenture launches Construct unit for capital project delivery

September 23, 2026 7:59 AM

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has launched Accenture Construct, a new global business unit aimed at helping project owners plan, deliver and manage large infrastructure and capital projects, including airports, power grids, data centers, rail networks and manufacturing facilities.

The unit consolidates Accenture's existing capital projects business, which the company says has grown fourfold over three years. Accenture reports it has made $2.5 billion in cumulative investments in this area and employs more than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

According to an Accenture-commissioned study, the owner-side capital project services market is valued at $260 billion and is projected to grow 7.5% annually to $348 billion by 2030.

Accenture Construct is organized into five business lines: data centers, utilities and telecommunications, transportation and civic infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and process industries.

"Capital projects haven't lacked expertise; they've lacked alignment on shared success outcomes," said Adam J. Shaw, CEO of Accenture Construct. "Accenture Construct brings those capabilities together under one accountable partner, combining deep delivery expertise with AI and data to help owners make better decisions, reduce uncertainty and deliver better outcomes."

The unit draws on a series of acquisitions including Alfa Consulting, Anser Advisory, Arca, BOSLAN, Comtech Group, Fibermind, Greenfish, IQT Group, Orlade Group, Soben and Verum Partners.

Accenture Construct will operate alongside DLB Associates, a majority-owned Accenture joint venture that provides data center lifecycle services to U.S.-based clients.

Current clients referenced in the announcement include Vale, Florida Governmental Utility Authority and Metrolinx GO Expansion. Accenture ranked sixth globally in the ENR 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and fourth in Building Design+Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.

Accenture reported approximately $70 billion in fiscal year 2025 revenue and serves around 9,000 clients globally.
