September 23, 2026 6:04 AM

GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) announced a services agreement to provide Rotor Life Extension solutions for five of its 9F gas turbines operating at power plants in Egypt.

The agreement covers turbines at the Kureimat, Nubaria, and Cairo North power plants, representing a combined capacity of approximately 1,250 MW. The counterparties are affiliates of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), including Upper Egypt Electricity Production Company, Middle Delta Electricity Production Company, and Cairo Electricity Production Company.

Under the agreement, GE Vernova is expected to extend the operating life of the five turbines by 13 to 15 years. Services are scheduled to be carried out between 2028 and 2035.

"This agreement reflects EEHC's continued focus on preserving the long-term performance and reliability of important generation assets across our fleet," said Eng. Gaber El-Desouki, Chairman and CEO of EEHC.

The deal follows a separate order announced in April 2026, in which GE Vernova received an order from Middle Delta Electricity Production Company for Advanced Gas Path upgrades and multiyear services agreements at the Banha and Nubaria power plants.

According to the press release, GE Vernova's installed base in Egypt includes more than 60 gas and steam turbines with a combined generating capacity of approximately 10 gigawatts.
