ACI Worldwide adds Swift ledger support to its payments hub

September 22, 2026 6:02 AM

ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW) announced it is extending its cloud-native payments hub, ACI Connetic, to support payments orchestrated through Swift's blockchain-based ledger alongside traditional payment flows within a single operating model.

The capability allows banks to process tokenized deposit payments using the same operational controls, workflows and infrastructure already in place for conventional payments, removing the need for separate digital-asset payment operations.

Swift announced its blockchain-based ledger last year and has since confirmed it is ready for initial use, with 17 banks across six continents piloting use cases. The ledger enables banks to move tokenized deposits across borders outside of a single institution and beyond traditional operating hours.

ACI Connetic uses bank- and customer-defined rules to automatically select clearing and settlement paths, giving banks control over speed, cost and availability across payment types through a single integration.

"Digital assets should extend a bank's payment capabilities, not force it to build a second payment operation," said Craig Ramsey, SVP, Head of Account-to-Account Payments, ACI Worldwide. "Banks need a practical way to operationalize tokenized deposits at scale using the people, controls and processes they already trust."

ACI representatives will present the capability at Sibos, with live showcases at stand D027 on Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
