September 22, 2026 6:01 AM

Comstock Inc. (NYSE: LODE) announced that its subsidiary, Comstock Metals LLC, has transitioned its solar panel recycling facility in Silver Springs, Nevada to continuous, 24-hour operations.

The facility operates across four shift teams and processes end-of-life solar panels under a zero-landfill model. According to the company, the operation provides utility-scale solar customers with chain-of-custody documentation confirming that end-of-life regulatory obligations have been met.

"Following dedicated work preparation with our production supervisors and operating staff across the four shift teams, we have now successfully graduated to continuous operations," said Dr. Fortunato Villamagna, President of Comstock Metals.

Comstock also maintains storage capacity at facilities in Hanford, California and Cambridge, Ohio. The company stated it plans to increase production volume to meet growing customer demand.

Corrado De Gasperis, CEO of Comstock Inc., said the transition represents a key milestone. "We believe the technical implementation hurdles and uncertainties related to the first-time scaled deployment of our proprietary Solar Panel Recycling Production system have now been overcome. With demonstrable continuous production, our focus now turns to volume ramp."

The company claims to be among the few domestic recyclers capable of processing end-of-life solar panels at the volumes required by utility-scale generators while maintaining zero-landfill and chain-of-custody standards.
