Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: HYMC) provided an update on technical initiatives at the Hycroft Mine in Nevada, according to a press release dated Sept. 21, 2026.

The company said it is finalizing an internal assessment of underground development options for the high-grade Brimstone and Vortex systems. Respec Company LLC has been engaged to evaluate underground mining alternatives and develop a conceptual mine plan. Hatch Ltd. is evaluating processing alternatives for recovering silver and gold from a potential underground operation, while Hazen Research Inc. is conducting metallurgical test work on the Brimstone and Vortex material.

Hycroft said it has completed a roasting metallurgical test program and is finalizing a trade-off analysis comparing roasting and pressure oxidation for processing the sulfide resource. The company noted that roasting could produce sulfuric acid as an additional revenue stream.

The company is also evaluating a potential restart of heap leach operations. A reverse circulation drill program initiated in late 2025 defined the quantity and characteristics of oxide and transition material, with a metallurgical test program currently underway.

CEO and Executive Chairman Diane Garrett said the company expects to receive two additional core drill rigs in the fourth quarter of 2026 to accelerate drilling at Vortex and Brimstone.

Hycroft also announced a refreshed brand identity and a redesigned corporate website. The company said it continues to evaluate multiple potential pathways to unlock shareholder value in the second half of 2026.
