H.B. Fuller launches Kōfinity window insulation spacer portfolio

September 21, 2026 3:49 PM

H.B. Fuller (NYSE: FUL) announced the launch of Kōfinity, a new product portfolio for insulating glass (IG) solutions, built on the company's existing 4SG reactive thermoplastic spacer technology.

The portfolio introduces what the company calls "fusion bonded spacers," which it says form a molecular bond with glass during the IG manufacturing process, rather than relying on mechanical or surface-level adhesion. The spacer is applied robotically and fuses directly to the glass and to a secondary silicone seal when applicable, creating a continuous barrier intended to reduce common IG failure points.

Window seal failure is cited in the press release as one of the leading causes of complaints from home and building owners, resulting in fogging, condensation, and reduced thermal performance.

Mark Conway, global vice president of H.B. Fuller's Building Adhesive Solutions business unit, said more than 100 million square meters of 4SG technology have been installed worldwide since its original launch, with 99.9% of those installations still performing. "Kōfinity represents the future growth and evolution of a technology that has helped transform the IG industry," he said.

H.B. Fuller said the Kōfinity platform will expand over time with additional products. The St. Paul, Minnesota-based company reported $3.5 billion in 2025 revenue and operates across more than 150 countries.
