DISH and United Airlines to stream live football on Starlink seatbacks
EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: ECHO) announced that its DISH unit has partnered with United Airlines to offer live college and professional football on Starlink-enabled seatback screens during the 2026–2027 season, according to a company press release.
The service launched on more than 200 Starlink-equipped United mainline aircraft and is expected to expand to nearly 700 planes by February 2027. Nine live television channels are included: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NFL Network, and TNF on Prime Video.
DISH is delivering the content through its OnStream platform, which the company describes as a configurable entertainment delivery system used across hospitality, senior living, aviation, and other sectors.

Amir Ahmed, Executive Vice President of Video Services, said: "Whether you're sitting on your couch or cruising at 35,000 feet, you should be able to watch your favorite teams play. By pairing DISH's OnStream platform with United's Starlink connectivity, we're keeping fans connected to the moments that matter most."
