Sidus Space signs MOU with Slovenia's 3GM Plus on satellite program
Sidus Space, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIDU) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with 3GM Plus, a Ljubljana, Slovenia-based company, to collaborate on satellite manufacturing, technology licensing, and the development of a domestic small satellite capability in Slovenia. The agreement was signed in Paris during World Space Business Week, according to a press release.
Under the terms of the MOU, 3GM Plus will serve as prime contractor for Slovenian satellite programs, with Sidus acting as subcontractor. Sidus's role includes providing satellite bus technology and licensing, engineering development, knowledge transfer, and flight hardware, including its Fortis VPX Maxima digital mission computing platform.
The parties anticipate a phased approach in which initial satellite development takes place at Sidus's Cape Canaveral, Florida facility, with Slovenian engineers participating directly in the build. A subsequent phase would establish assembly, integration, and test capability within Slovenia, led by 3GM Plus, which specializes in cleanroom and controlled-environment systems.

"Europe is investing in sovereign space and defense capability at a pace we haven't seen before, and Slovenia has decided to build that capability rather than buy it," said Carol Craig, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Sidus Space. "Our objective here is to be a long-term partner in a national program, not a one-time supplier."
Jure Milošević, Chief Executive Officer of 3GM Plus, cited Sidus's satellite flight heritage as a key factor in selecting the company. "Our objective is for Slovenia to become a producer within the European space supply chain, not only a customer," he said.
The MOU also includes structured knowledge transfer to Slovenian personnel, covering hands-on engineering participation, onsite integration support, and training for defense and civil mission operations. The agreement is non-binding.
