ZenaTech added to Canada's Defence Drone Initiative supplier pool
ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) has been selected as a qualified supplier under the Government of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative (DDI) Marketplace, according to a press release from the Toronto-based company.
The qualification places ZenaTech in a pre-approved supplier pool, allowing the company to compete for future drone-related contracts supporting the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Coast Guard. The DDI Marketplace, launched by the Government of Canada in July 2026, is designed to accelerate development, testing, and production of uncrewed and autonomous systems while building domestic defense industrial capacity.
The company noted that qualification under the DDI Marketplace does not constitute an award of a procurement contract.

"Being selected for Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace represents an important milestone for our growing defense business," said Shaun Passley, Ph.D., ZenaTech CEO.
ZenaTech's defense-oriented drone portfolio includes the ZenaDrone 1000, a multifunction autonomous platform for surveillance, reconnaissance, and logistics missions currently in the testing stage. The company also offers its IQ Series of drones, covering indoor inventory management, inspections, land surveys, and underwater applications. Counter-UAS maritime interceptor drones and a launch and refueling station are currently in development.
ZenaTech operates manufacturing facilities in Arizona, Dubai, and Taiwan, with expansion ongoing across those locations.
