Investing.com -- SGF Capital sold approximately $1.9 billion worth of Diamondback Energy Inc. shares through an unregistered block trade on Wednesday, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The Dallas-based family office sold 9.1 million shares at $205.80 each, representing a 2.7% discount to Tuesday's closing price of $211.53. Morgan Stanley handled the transaction.

SGF Capital manages the investments of the late Autry Stephens, who founded Endeavor Energy Resources. The family office acquired its Diamondback Energy shares as part of a 2024 merger between the two companies.
